Website Beta Testers Needed

Afternoon all,

I've been experimenting with my first foray into the world of PHP over the weekend, and I've finally got a Slashdot-like site up and running. I guess this is a beta test request, because I've managed to test almost everything myself, but obviously can't simulate real life conditions of the site having to manage multiple (ie more than the two accounts that are set up at the moment!) accounts.

So, I humbly stand before you, asking that you take a look at the site, and give it a thorough going over, and send me feedback on what you'd like to see in the 'slashboxes'. This isn't my attempt at a 'get rich quick scheme' (the banner ad at the top is part of an unused banner exchange programme, it's my try at HTML/tables/PHP). I'd appreciate genuine news items to see if HTML embedding is working (working intermittently at the mo).

I'm billing it as Slashdot goes to the movies, which is a bit prententious, I know, but it gets the general aim of the site across pretty well. You can log in, post news and discuss the items like you can at slashdot.org/newsforge/etc.

Everything needs testing, account creation, homepage customisation, user polls (bit lame now, would appreciate suggestions). It may work brilliantly, it may crash and burn when more than 10 users are logged in, I don't know, but therein lies the fun - and I've learnt a lot in the past week.
